चालाक बन्दर
वेटरन के जंगल में एक ख़तरनाक झील थी। दिन भर कोई घटना तो नहीं होती थी लेकिन थोड़ा सा भी अंधेरा हो जाने पे वो झील एक खूनी झील बन जाती। उस दौरान जो भी जानवर उस झील में पानी पीने जाता ज़िंदा वापिस नहीं जाता। कहा जाता है आज तक किसी को उसका पता नहीं चला, इसी वजह से जंगल के सभी जानवरों ने यहाँ तक की जंगल के राजा ने भी उसे खूनी झील मान लिया था।
शाम को कोई भी उस झील की तरफ़ जाने की हिम्मत नहीं करता था। एक दिन उस जंगल में बंदर आ जाता है उसकी एक ख़रगोश के साथ मुलाक़ात होती है, ख़रगोश बंदर से कहता है तुम्हें पहले तो कभी नहीं देखा जंगल में। बंदर ख़रगोश से कहता है, वो शहर में इंसानो के साथ सर्कस में काम करता था।
वहाँ से बचकर में यहाँ भागकर आया हूँ क्या मेरे लिए इस जंगल में जगह है। ख़रगोश जंगल में बंदर को घुमाता है और सबसे मिलाता है हाथी, हिरन, सियार और जंगल के राजा शेर की भी गुफा दिखाता है पर ना उस खूनी झील के बारे में बताता है ना दिखाता है। बंदर वही के एक बड़े से बरगद के पेड़ को रहने की जगह बना लेता है।
वहाँ रहते हुए उसे दो दिन गुज़र गये होते है। फिर शाम को घूमता हुआ उसी खूनी झील के पास पहुँचता है और कहता है कितनी सुनदर झील है, मन करता है ठंडे ठंडे पानी में कूदके नहा लूँ लेकिन सर्दी होने का भी ख़तरा है। फिर वो सोचता है ठंडे ठंडे पानी से अपनी प्यास भुझा लेता हूँ। जेसे ही बंदर पानी पीने लगता है वहाँ उसे मगरमच्छ दिखाई देता है और वो भागकर बरगद के पेड़ की ओर जाता है रास्ते में उसे हिरन मिलता है।
हिरन बंदर से पूछता है इतना घबराए हुए कहा से आ रहे हो , बंदर हिरन का जवाब देते हुए कहता है, मैं झील के किनारे पानी पीने गया था। हीरन कहता है तुम वहाँ से ज़िंदा केसे लौट आए, बंदर कहता है तुम्हारा क्या मतलब है। हिरन बंदर से कहता है कि वह इस जंगल की खूनी झील है। शाम होने पर कोई भी वहाँ जाता है तो वापिस नहीं आता। उसकी लाश का भी पता नहीं चलता कहा ग़ायब हो जाती है।
इसलिए कोई भी शाम को उस खूनी झील पे नहीं जाता ये हमारे शेर राजा का आदेश भी है। हिरन ने बंदर से कहा कि ख़रगोश भाई ने आपको नहीं बताया बंदर ने कहा नहीं। उस वक्त वहाँ ख़रगोश आ जाता है हिरन ख़रगोश से कहती हे आपने बंदर को पूरा जंगल घुमाया लेकिन खूनी झील के बारे में नहीं बताया। ख़रगोश कहता की में भूल गया था क्यूँकि मुझे लगा की बंदर तो पेड़ पे रेहते है इनका नीचे क्या काम।
फिर हिरन बताती है कि बंदर ने उस खूनी जीव को देखा तो बंदर कहता है क्यू आप लोगो ने पहले कभी नहीं देखा? उन्होंने कहा नहीं फिर यही बात लेके तीनो शेर के पास जाते है लेकिन कोई भी उनकी बात पे भरोसा नहीं करता है। बंदर उन्हें समझता है की झील खूनी नहीं है उसके अंदर मगरमच्छ है जो जानवरों को खाता है और वो शाम को ही निकलता है।
किसी को बंदर पर यक़ीन नहीं होता है। शेर कहता है कि हमें भी देखना है तो बंदर उन्हें शाम को झील के पास ले जाता है। सारे जानवर पत्थर के पीछे छुप जाते है। उसी समय बंदर बड़े- बड़े दो पत्थर झील में फेंकता है। मगरमच्छ झील के नीचे से धीरे धीरे शिकार करने के लिए आता है, लेकिन पेड़ के पीछे हाथी को देखकर वो सावधान हो जाता है और सोचता है ये लोग मुझे छिपकर देखने आए है।
फिर मगरमच्छ सोचता है हमेशा की तरह पत्थर बनजाता हूँ। ये सारे जानवर तो बेवक़ूफ़ है। सारे जानवर बंदर को झूठा कहते है अपने आप को साबित करने के लिए बंदर कहता है, अगर ये इतना मज़बूत पत्थर है तो में अभी उसपे गुलाटी मारने जाऊँगा। ये सुनकर मगरमच्छ के मुँह में पानी आजाता है और वो सोचता है कि आज बंदर का नरम नरम गोश्त खाने को मिलेगा। वेसे भी ये सारे जानवर बेवक़ूफ़ है आजतक मुझे पत्थर ही समझ ते आए है।
मगरमच्छ कहता है मैं मज़बूत पत्थर हूँ, तभी बंदर कहता है देखा पत्थर भी कभी बोलता है। ये देख कर सब गुफा में चले गए। शेर कहता बंदर ठीक कह रहा हे ये मगरमच्छ हमारी झील में कही से आ गया है अब क्या करे? बंदर कहता मेने शहर में काफ़ी तरीक़े सीखे हे जानवरों पे क़ब्ज़ा करने के मुझे दो रससीयो की ज़रूरत है। सबने बंदर को रस्सी लाके दी।
वे सब खूनी झील के पास गये और बंदर झील में पानी पीने लगा मगरमच्छ को लगा की बंदर भी उसे पत्थर समझ रहा है। और उसे खाने जाता है और बंदर के बनाए रस्सी के फंदे में फ़स जाता है और बंदर उसे खींच के बाहर निकालता है। शेर उसे मार देता है। इस तरह जंगल को खूनी झील से मुक्ति मिल जाती है। बन्दर की कहानी

Bandar kharagosh se kahata hai, vo shahar mein insaano ke saath sarkas mein kaam karata tha.
Vahaan se bachakar mein yahaan bhaagakar aaya hoon kya mere lie is jangal mein jagah hai. Kharagosh jangal mein bandar ko ghumaata hai aur sabase milaata hai haathee, hiran, siyaar aur jangal ke raaja sher kee bhee gupha dikhaata hai par na us khoonee jheel ke baare mein bataata hai na dikhaata hai. Bandar vahee ke ek bade se baragad ke ped ko rahane kee jagah bana leta hai.
Vahaan rahate hue use do din guzar gaye hote hai. Phir shaam ko ghoomata hua usee khoonee jheel ke paas pahunchata hai aur kahata hai kitanee sunadar jheel hai, man karata hai thande thande paanee mein koodake naha loon lekin sardee hone ka bhee khatara hai. Phir vo sochata hai thande thande paanee se apanee pyaas bhujha leta hoon. Jese hee bandar paanee peene lagata hai vahaan use magaramachchh dikhaee deta hai aur vo bhaagakar baragad ke ped kee or jaata hai raaste mein use hiran milata hai.
Hiran bandar se poochhata hai itana ghabarae hue kaha se aa rahe ho , bandar hiran ka javaab dete hue kahata hai, main jheel ke kinaare paanee peene gaya tha. Heeran kahata hai tum vahaan se zinda kese laut aae, bandar kahata hai tumhaara kya matalab hai. Hiran bandar se kahata hai ki vah is jangal kee khoonee jheel hai. Shaam hone par koee bhee vahaan jaata hai to vaapis nahin aata. Usakee laash ka bhee pata nahin chalata kaha gaayab ho jaatee hai.
Isalie koee bhee shaam ko us khoonee jheel pe nahin jaata ye hamaare sher raaja ka aadesh bhee hai. Hiran ne bandar se kaha ki kharagosh bhaee ne aapako nahin bataaya bandar ne kaha nahin. Us vakt vahaan kharagosh aa jaata hai hiran kharagosh se kahatee he aapane bandar ko poora jangal ghumaaya lekin khoonee jheel ke baare mein nahin bataaya. Phir hiran bataatee hai ki bandar ne us khoonee jeev ko dekha to bandar kahata hai kyoo aap logo ne pahale kabhee nahin dekha? Unhonne kaha nahin phir yahee baat leke teeno sher ke paas jaate hai lekin koee bhee unakee baat pe bharosa nahin karata hai. Bandar unhen samajhata hai kee jheel khoonee nahin hai usake andar magaramachchh hai jo jaanavaron ko khaata hai aur vo shaam ko hee nikalata hai.
Kisee ko bandar par yaqeen nahin hota hai. Sher kahata hai ki hamen bhee dekhana hai to bandar unhen shaam ko jheel ke paas le jaata hai. Saare jaanavar patthar ke peechhe chhup jaate hai. Usee samay bandar bade- bade do patthar jheel mein phenkata hai. Magaramachchh jheel ke neeche se dheere dheere shikaar karane ke lie aata hai, lekin ped ke peechhe haathee ko dekhakar vo saavadhaan ho jaata hai aur sochata hai ye log mujhe chhipakar dekhane aae hai.
Phir magaramachchh sochata hai hamesha kee tarah patthar banajaata hoon. Ye saare jaanavar to bevaqoof hai. Saare jaanavar bandar ko jhootha kahate hai apane aap ko saabit karane ke lie bandar kahata hai, agar ye itana mazaboot patthar hai to mein abhee usape gulaatee maarane jaoonga. Ye sunakar magaramachchh ke munh mein paanee aajaata hai aur vo sochata hai ki aaj bandar ka naram naram gosht khaane ko milega. Vese bhee ye saare jaanavar bevaqoof hai aajatak mujhe patthar hee samajh te aae hai.
Magaramachchh kahata hai main mazaboot patthar hoon, tabhee bandar kahata hai dekha patthar bhee kabhee bolata hai. Ye dekh kar sab gupha mein chale gae. Sher kahata bandar theek kah raha he ye magaramachchh hamaaree jheel mein kahee se aa gaya hai ab kya kare? Bandar kahata mene shahar mein kaafee tareeqe seekhe he jaanavaron pe qabza karane ke mujhe do rasaseeyo kee zaroorat hai. Sabane bandar ko rassee laake dee.
